About ACT

ACT Global information

In a turbulent world full of uncertainty about the future, people long for positive boosts. International Earth Day, celebrated annually on and around 22 April, provides such a boost. This is a period to recognize the value of the earth’s resources, to appreciate nature’s beauty, to enjoy a new spring and all the wonderful things life has to offer.

The Earth Day Foundation introduces this national day for reflection with activities during the whole period from 22 April until the end of May. This is a time of raising awareness, showing gratefulness, and particularly enjoying nature’s beauty and everything the earth provides for us.
The focus lies on positive thinking.

In the Netherlands, National Geographic and ACT Global celebrate International Earth Day in a number of ways including a big clean-up action on the Dutch shore and a very special event.

The aim is to set in motion awareness and global sustainable development.
